The Four-star Clarence Hotel lies in the heart of Dublin City, situated on the River Liffey. The original building was erected in 1852, and it was restored and transformed into a boutique hotel in the mid-nineties by its present owners, Bono and The Edge from Ireland's famous rock group, U2.

Boasting 49 individually decorated and designed rooms and suites, it also offers a fitness room, a massage and treatment room, and valet parking service. The hotel also houses the well known Tea Room Restaurant, as well as the Octagon Bar which in turn is well known for the cocktails it serves.

Rooms

Each of the 49 bedrooms and suites was individually designed and decorated to offer elegant, simplistic, yet refined accommodation. Although twin rooms are available, the vast majority of bedrooms are equipped with super king-size double beds.

The Clarence Hotel has five signature colours which flow throughout all the bedrooms and suites. Using different combinations of amethyst, chocolate, crimson, gold and royal blue, no two rooms are alike.

The rooms are appointed with shaker-style furniture, while the super king-size beds with Egyptian linens were specially crafted. The spacious bathrooms are tiled in white, boasting oak cabinets and pedestal sinks.

Location

Located in the heart of Dublin city, the Clarence Hotel is roughly 8km from Dublin international airport, and a mere half a kilometre from Heuston Station.

It is also conveniently located within walking distance of a number of Dublin City's greatest landmarks like Christchurch Cathedral, the Irish Financial Services Centre, the Temple Bar and Trinity College.

Additionally, it lies close to a large number of Dublin's restaurants, shopping areas, art galleries, museums and theatres. The suites and rooms facing the front of the building, as well as the private meeting and dining facilities offer a great view of the River Liffey.

General

The four-star Clarence Hotel offers a number of venues to cater for any private meeting or event to be hosted in Dublin. Options include:

1. The Clarence Suite, which has a maximum capacity of 120 people when laid out in reception style. Alternatively, it can be subdivided to form three separate sections.

2. TheGallery@ThePenthouse caters for smaller functions, providing facilities for drinks receptions for 30 people or less.

3. The Tea Room facilitates up to 100 people, and is for hire for exclusive-use.

4. The Study, however, can only be hired privately in conjunction with any of the above.
