Blarney Castle Hotel
Blarney Castle Hotel was established in 1837, and is still run today by the Forrest family. Situated five miles from Cork City, the picturesque inn boasts tastefully decorated spacious bedrooms, an unspoilt traditional bar, and a restaurant producing fine local cuisine.
A number of golf courses are located within an easy drive. Blarney Castle with its famous Blarney Stone, and Blarney Woollen Mills are right next door.
The hotel offers a free, private car park for its guests, while quality entertainment is available every night in the village.
Rooms
The spacious, tastefully appointed rooms of the Blarney Castle Hotel were recently renovated beyond the expected three-star standard. While most rooms overlook the village green, each room was given its own character. Rooms are equipped with private bathrooms featuring power showers, direct dial phones, direct internet connections, central heating, satellite television and facilities for making coffee and tea.
Depending on your preferences, we offer rooms with twin beds, queen size and king size beds.
Most bedrooms have been designated as non-smoking.
Location
Nestled in wooded countryside among rolling hills, Blarney provides the perfect base from which to tour the south-west region of Ireland. On top of Blarney Castle - among the battlements - you will find the Blarney Stone which, according to tradition, will grant a gift of eloquence to anyone who kisses it (which of course attracts many people from afar).
The splendid village green encountered in Blarney is one of only three still found in Ireland. Owned and maintained by Blarney Castle Estate, it remains a focal point.
Blarney Woollen Mills, established in 1824, is one of the most popular - and largest - craft shops in Ireland. The village also offers a number of other great outlets, making shopping a pleasure.
General
With its open fires and sincere, friendly local staff, the Blarney Castle Hotel offers a traditional Irish welcome. The proprietor, John Forrest, always makes time for guests, assisting them with travel plans using his abundant archive of maps, information and tourist guides.
