Castle Guesthouse (The)
The Castle guesthouse is a Townshend family home dating from the eighteenth century. Situated in Castletownshend, near Skibbereen, it overlooks Castlehaven harbour.
The castle grounds extend to the water's edge with its own small beach, whilst offering access to surrounding woods for those who enjoy nature.
Most of the rooms are en-suite, situated on the second floor - which provides excellent views of the harbour and sea.
A panelled hall / sitting room offer an open fire and television, offering great relaxation.
Breakfast is served daily in our elegant dining room, while Mary Ann's Restaurant is nearby to cater for you other meals of the day. Self-catering cottages or -apartments are available to those who prefer to be self-sufficient.
The Castle guesthouse provides an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding towns, including Cork and Kerry.
The Castle can also be explored during guided tours. However, these are only available in May and June, as well as September ad October, and then only by arrangement.
